The Sundial plumber who did the estimate said it would take at least a half a day to do all this work, and so his quote of approximately $1100 didn't seem too terribly high, although certainly a little bit high. Then, two days later, the plumber did the work and was in and out of my house in about 2.5 hours. The material cost for the job was less than $100, so that means they charged at least $400 per HOUR for the work.
The next day, I called to make sure Sundial Plumbing had charged me correctly, and the administrative assistant, Serina Rogers, told me that I would hear back from them the next day after they looked into the matter. So, then, without any further communication, I received a letter informing me that the pricing was just business-as-usual, and that no other problems were found with the pricing.
I then followed up with another phone call to Serina Rogers and told her that I was very unhappy with being overcharged by so much money. She said that the owner of the company, Mitzi Moore, would be in touch to discuss the issues. The next business day, I only received the following letter from Sundial Plumbing:
Suffice to say, I was VERY shocked at the strong language contained in the letter. It was very unprofessional for Sundial Plumbing to respond in this way, and it made me want to let people know how Sundial treats customers who call to inquire about the plumbing services and pricing. The owner, Mitzi Moore, still has not contacted me even though her administrative assistant, Serina Rogers, said that she would call to discuss the matter.
BEFORE YOU HIRE SUNDIAL PLUMBING, do your research! Go on Yelp and Kudzu and read through all the reviews. Many, many people are having problems with the shady business practices and extremely high pricing of Sundial Plumbing. BUYER BEWARE!!!
